Nursery Education Grant

All 3 year olds (the term after their third birthday) and 4 year olds are entitled to a free education place of two and a half hours per day. The full grant amounts to approximately £520 per term and is received for 3 terms per year. Any child attending less than 5 sessions will receive a pro rata amount for the number of sessions attended. (Funding amount may change)

Parents will be asked to complete a form confirming that their child does not attend 5 sessions of nursery education at a local authority maintained provider and are not claiming funding for more than 5 part time sessions of education. Parents are also obliged to provide a copy of their childs birth certificate.

The nursery claims the grant on behalf of parents and once funding is received from the local authority it is paid directly to the parent.
